BarbellBites works offline so you can track your fitness anywhere, even without internet. Here's how offline mode works on each platform:
Full offline support! Once you've loaded the app in your browser, all pages are cached automatically. You can log workouts and meals offline, and your data will sync when you're back online. Add to your home screen for the best experience.
Full offline support! The Android app caches all pages during your first use. After the initial load, you can navigate between pages, log workouts and meals completely offline. Data syncs automatically when connectivity returns.
Limited offline support due to Apple restrictions.
iOS's WKWebView can clear cached data when the device needs memory, which means offline mode may not work reliably after the app has been closed for a while.
For best offline use on iOS: While connected to the internet, open all the pages you want to use offline (Dashboard, Workouts, Nutrition, etc.) before going offline. This ensures those pages are cached and available. If you haven't loaded a page while online, it won't be available offline.
What syncs when you're back online? All workouts and meals logged offline will automatically sync to your account. Your streaks, points, and leaderboard positions will update once connected.
